Sayulita Mexico Destination Wedding at Villa Valentin

I have wanted to shoot a wedding at Villa Valentin for so long and finally got to make it happen. This venue is placed up on a hilltop surrounded by the jungle with stunning ocean views. This venue has several rooms for lodging so your family and bridal party can all stay with you in one place. The styling of the venue is incredible - including traditional Mexican details like handmade wooden lodging areas, intricate tiles, and these ceramic skulls made my local Sayulita designer Evolve The Spirit. It also has access to a secret beach, the perfect way to escape the more crowded beaches near downtown.

Sayulita is definitely on the map as one of the best destination wedding locations in Mexico. Located about 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta, this small coastal surf town is about 2 miles across and packed with amazing restaurants, shops, and of course mezcal tasting rooms. The town also offers a multitude of adventure excursions such as snorkeling cruises, ATV tours, and horseback riding. I have shot nearly a dozen weddings in Sayulita and am always excited to head back to this stunning location.

With so much to do, see, eat, and drink - no wonder this location has become incredibly popular for destination weddings. Most of the weddings I shoot in Sayulita are more like big group vacations. The couple invites 30-50 of their guests for multiple days of spending time together. I love this idea - a wedding definitely doesn’t need to be just a one day event.
