NYC Meets PDX Wedding at the Sentinel Hotel in Portland, OR
The Sentinel is a boutique hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon, and an entirely vibrant spot in the heart of downtown. It’s lavished with an extensive list of signature amenities, curated art collections, as well as two restaurants. It’s also a location that’s brimming with dark colors, textures, and old books that make its guests feel as though they’ve traveled back in time to the 1900’s.
On the other hand however, they’ve managed to give it a few modern touches that make it absolutely gorgeous for photos. Needless to say, getting married at this superb hotel is perfect for couples who want to experience a fusion of old meets new.
My tips and advice for couples getting married at The Sentinel:
For your getting ready rooms, I would suggest booking one the rooms with a terrace. This allows for more light and additional room for your friends to hang out with incredible views of downtown. The Fireside Room is also a great option to rent if you plan on having a larger number of people with you for getting ready.
Want to party late into the night? This venue allows amplified sound until 12AM. Most venues in the area have a strict cut off at 10PM, so this venue allows partying late night.
There is a cool spot for photos on the top floor with a skylight. This provides a great location for first look and portraits if the weather doesn’t behave for outdoor photos.
