Ten Mile Station Wedding in Breckenridge, CO | Amy + Cameron

Emotion-Filled Wedding at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge. CO

The first thing I noticed about Amy + Cameron in our first meeting is how fun they are. You just want to be around them. When I was shooting their wedding I also noticed how they have this unbelievable gift of making everyone around them feel included and loved. It was a beautiful thing to witness.

They chose the mountains of Breckenridge as their wedding location. Ten Mile Station is a perfect venue for those wanting a wedding in the great outdoors. The view absolutely did not disappoint.

All About Weddings at Ten Mile Station

As a wedding photographer, I know I have so much experience shooting various locations and venues. So I thought giving some thoughts about each venue I’ve shot would be helpful to potential couples locking down all their wedding plans. So here are all my thoughts after shooting at TenMile Station!

TenMile Station is surrounded by brisk mountain air and sweeping views. The grandeur of the mountains can make you feel so totally in awe of the beauty and simplicity of nature. The venue itself is close enough to the town to be accessible yet far enough away that it feels completely private.

The ceremony area has a dramatic backdrop of the rolling mountains and forests. There are even stables where you’ll find horses. Bask in the sun surrounded by tall trees. All of these aspects are what make TenMile Station so charming.

Getting married at this venue means having up to 200 of your nearest and dearest by your side, panoramic mountain views, professional and flexible catering services (choose from either a buffet or a sit-down dinner).

What’s also great about TenMile Station, is that it’s perfectly located. A secluded haven away from the hustle and bustle, but not too far from downtown Breckenridge.

And for a little on the history, the town of Breckenridge is a pretty rad place to explore. It’s a mixture of historical meets modern, and a ski town that attracts locals and tourists year-round. Their official website actually reads: “We’re an up for everything kinda town”.

In winter, they’re all about hiking. With the right gear, there are several hiking trails in Breckenridge of different difficulty levels. There’s also Ullr Fest, which is basically a massive parade and party. This festival exists as an ode to the Norse God of snow, Ullr.

And for ski lovers and health enthusiasts in Breckenridge, they’ve got some fun adventure-sport kind of activities: In winter, there’s a cross country ski trails. They even have offer zip line courses at Breckenridge Ski Resort.

If adventure sports aren’t your thing, they have a handful of party-type festivals and cultural events during the summer. Starting from the end of May all the way through to the beginning of September, you can indulge in things such as wine tasting, a beer festival, and an interactive art exhibition called Light + Wave + Sound.

If you choose TenMile Station for your wedding, you’ll not only have a gorgeous outdoor nature-inspired wedding, but also some quality time in an adorable town that’s packed with things to do. I love that it is becoming more common for couples to plan weekend getaways with various events so that their guests can all get to know each other. TenMile Station is a great destination location to plan an incredibly fun and memorable wedding weekend.
