The simple beauty of this wedding was astounding and a perfect representation of this couple's personalities. Wild flowers, hand-cranked ice cream, and pretty colored flags brought out the best of Aspen Hall. Surrounding forests, a fishing pond, and cabin-like design made a perfect venue for this outdoor wedding. And they had the coolest gifts for the guests: awesome t-shirts with a design of a fun flag with the word "YAY!" across it. So neat!

Aimee and Mike met while fly fishing with friends on the Metolius River. Their relationship has been all about hiking, biking, exploring new places, and enjoying life's simple moments.

The couple actually lives in Colorado, which is where Mike proposed. This is how Aimee described the proposal: "We live at 8,900 feet above sea level in a valley surrounded by mountains. They say our summer is 41 days long and January lasts for 80 days. To live here you need to love winter. We do. In February Mike suggested we take a backcountry ski tour to the summit of a nearby peak. The skin up can be tricky, and the tour itself averages a few hours and several thousand feet of elevation gain. It's a big ski up, and at the top Aimee was lagging, allowing Mike to reach the peak first. As Aimee came up to the summit Mike stopped her, got down on one knee and asked her to share in this life. She said yes. They skied down. It was awesome."

When I asked about their honeymoon they said that they don't have a scheduled one planned but their life is pretty much a vacation. I think we all want a life like that!

They said that the most important thing about their wedding day was the friends and family who came from near and far to celebrate their love.

Aimee and Mike, thank you so much for choosing me to capture this beautiful day! Enjoy your adventures together. xo C.
