| Kathleen + Arien | Newell House Museum | Portland Wedding Photography
Kathleen and Arien's vintage backyard wedding was so beautiful and so much fun! For starter's they had a live band playing soulful tunes, lots of good beer, and a picnic-like environment that created a relaxed hang-out for their guests. Kathy from WHS rocked the pie set-up. Not only were the pies gorgeous (and yummy) but her dessert table design was perfect. Kathleen and Arien plan to spend their honeymoon touring through Italy and the south of France. Not gonna lie I'm pretty jealous.
Kathleen's telling of the proposal: "Arien's mom and uncle Jack specially wrapped and mailed Great Grandma Nancy's ring during Christmas. The holidays were so busy, that we didnt get to do our special holiday traditions until a few days after the actual day. I got home from work and noticed that Arien was particularly figity, but just thought he was antsy to get out of the house for our annual holiday dinner. I quickly changed and then we sat down to open our gifts. He worked us very quickly through gifts, until there was one left for me. The box was large, so I thought nothing of. As I unwrapped the multiple layers of gifts, also not uncommon, I finally saw a small box, and then the ring. Merry Christmas!"
A special thank you to the entire team that helped make this wedding so beautiful. You were all so helpful and sweet. And to Sammy's Flowers for providing such gorgeous florals! Simply stunning.
Kathleen and Arien, thank you for allowing me to play such a crucial role on your big day. You and your family were so welcoming. At times I felt more like a guest than a photographer. You both are awesome! To many, many wonderful years of life together. xo C.
